Rolling Stone Cover Analysis
Age: 25-45
Main image is Snoop Dogg who is 43 but looks quite young. People of this age group tend to be more interested in the music industry. "How the super rich are screwing America", discussing politics in a more understandable and relatable way. The Rolling Stones are a band that was around quite a while ago so would relate to an older audience.
Gender: Male
Main image is of a male rapper, not sexualised so will appeal more to men. A lot of men idolise rappers such as Snoop Dogg. Cover line "Smokin' Christmas" may be referring to Soop's use of Cannabis, which mostly males do. Language such as "pimp" appeals mainly to males.
Socio-Economic Group:
C1 and 2, maybe D. This is so as these groups are heavily influenced by the music industry whereas higher groups are not interested in music such as rap. I do not believe this magazine would appeal to class E as they may not be able to afford the magazine and are more influenced then musicians of a lower status than Snoop Dogg and the Rolling Stones.
